The Women, Infants and Children Special Supplemental Nutrition Program (WIC) provides families with nutritious foods, nutrition counseling focused on your needs and concerns, breastfeeding support, and referrals to health/community resources.
WIC serves pregnant, breastfeeding, and women who recently delivered up to 6 months, as well as infants and children up to their 5th birthday. Fathers, grandparents, guardians, and foster parents may also apply for benefits for the children living in their household. Eligibility to participate in the program is determined by income and nutritional risk. Participants receive a health screening and diet assessment.
To see if you qualify for the Missouri WIC program, go to the income guidelines or the prescreen tool for further information.
If you wish to enroll on the program, all applicants must be present at the first WIC visit. The following information is required for each applicant:
- Proof of ID: For an infant/child, you may bring a hospital record birth certificate, foster child placement letter, insurance card, shot record, or social security card. For an adult, please bring a driver’s license, government issued ID, work/school ID, or passport.
