Bridget Locke serves as chief communications officer for Swope Health, overseeing corporate communications, digital communications, marketing, social media, media relations, community relations, and major events. She joined Swope Health as director of strategic communications in February 2023 and was appointed chief communications officer in September 2025. 

Prior to her role at Swope Health, Bridget served as director of strategic communications for Park University; major gifts manager for United Way of Greater Kansas City; marketing manager for Donnelly College; and spent nearly a decade in communications at Sun Life (formerly Assurant Employee Benefits).

Bridget was recognized as a Woman Making History in Higher Education by Community Voices in 2019 and was named a Black Woman of Distinction by Friends of Yates in 2020. She received the 2020 Dusing-Proudfoot Award for outstanding contributions to Park University, the 2024 Swope Health Associate Support Award for non-clinical staff, and is a 2024 graduate of Kansas City Tomorrow, the Civic Council of Greater Kansas City’s leadership development program. 

Bridget earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Human Development from the University of Saint Mary and a Master of Arts in Communication and Leadership from Park University.
