“From Separate to Equal” viewing & discussion

Swope Health is proud to host a screening of Kevin Willmott’s new movie, “From Separate to Equal: The Creation of Truman Medical Center,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the PACE KC Adult Wellness Center.

Willmott is an Academy Award-winning filmmaker and writer of BlacKkKLansman and professor emeritus at the University of Kansas. His newest film is a documentary on the history of healthcare in Kansas City’s Black community.

This event is sponsored by the Mayor’s Commission on Reparations. The screening will be followed by a discussion on The State of Healthcare for Black Kansas City Residents.
