Patients should know…
I provide nonjudgmental care irrespective of the patients’ race, lifestyle choices, disability, sex and financial status. My main focus is assessing the patients’ mental health status, listening to the patients and providing education that will help them make informed decisions, which will help them take charge of their mental health
Education
I completed my bachelor of science degree in nursing at University of Missouri Kansas and continued on to obtain a Master of Science degree with University of Missouri-Kansas City. I hold board certification with American Nursing Credentialing Center, (ANCC) as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner PMHNP-BC.
Experience
I started my career in nursing as a Mental Health Technician at Truman Medical Center in 2007 and later advanced to Registered Nurse on Telemetry unit before recently completing my MSN in PMHNP program in 2017.
I joined Swope Health Services in May 2018. My experience in working at different specialties of nursing has given me the opportunity to manage patient better.
Background and passions
I am originally from Nigeria. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and traveling.
