Swope Health Receives Gold Recognition for COVID-19 Vaccinations for Associates

Swope Health has been recognized as a Gold COVID Stops Here workplace for achieving a 90 percent vaccination rate.

The COVID Stops Here campaign recognizes Missouri workplaces that have achieved widespread vaccination against COVID-19. Organizations that have achieved at least a 70 percent vaccination rate are eligible to receive a designation from the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Since March, Swope Health has encouraged associate vaccinations and then implemented a policy calling for associate vaccinations by Oct. 15, 2021.  With these efforts, Swope Health achieved a 96.7 percent vaccination rate.

“Swope Health, with our early action, demonstrated leadership and a commitment to public safety and patient care,” said Jeron Ravin, JD, President and Chief Executive Officer. “This shows our commitment to our community. We continue to encourage vaccination as the best way to stop the spread of COVID-19.”

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce applauded the Swope Health achievement.

“Swope Health is helping set the bar for vaccination in Missouri,” said Daniel P. Mehan, president and CEO of the Missouri Chamber.  “This is a great achievement, and we thank them for helping our state stop this dangerous virus.”

He continued: “Employers are playing a very important role as we work to encourage vaccination in Missouri. In order to finally put this virus behind us, we need Missourians to get vaccinated as soon as possible.”
